Dear AYCA, As I am sure you're aware, Frogger is one of the greatest arcade games of all time. Lately I picked up a coin operated Frogger match from a pizza joint and would love to move the match. Because you offer free delivery and let your clients change their matches each month, I knew that you would be a specialist online arcade logistics. The problem is that I have the score and do not want to unplug it. Is there a way to maneuver the game without sacrificing my
standing as the best toad of all time? Sincerely, George C. from New York
Dear George,
Believe it or not, this question led to the development of the pop-up arcade. The good thing is that you can in fact move a match with the energy on. You simply require a self contained way to power it. In order to do it, you are likely to want a car battery, a battery charger and
indoor jungle gym a transformer to convert your power to 110 v a/c.
When we first tried this, we could
conduct Frogger for approximately 6 hours before the game began to reset on usso you could probably get it around town. When we hooked up another match to our unit at the same time, it only made it 45 minutes prior to crashing, so the quantity of ampage drawn will increase or reduce the result dramatically.
To be able to run our outdoor popup arcade with 7 games in it, we utilize a mixture of electronic arcades and non-electronic ones, powered by a generator. The generator will not play nice with each monitor, therefore it limits which games could be contained. Due to our large selection, we have been able to put together an wonderful compilation of titles.
The bad news is that there does not seem to be a way of linking a self contained power unit like the one that we created to a game that's presently electrified without interrupting the present. It would be interesting to hear from those with an electrical background on thoughts , but without having the ability to move from one power source to another, I do not think it will be possible to save your score.
